Politique d’expédition
1. Dispatch Time
Orders are typically dispatched on the same working day or the next business day, depending on when the order is placed. A confirmation email containing your tracking link will be sent once your parcel has been processed for delivery.
2. Packaging
We pack all orders in 100% recycled mailing bags to ensure your yarn is protected in transit while minimising environmental impact. We avoid bulky packaging and fillers unless absolutely necessary.
3. Delivery Times
UK orders are delivered via Royal Mail Tracked 48 and usually arrive within 2 working days.
International orders typically arrive within 5–10 working days, depending on the destination country and customs processing.
4. Tracking
All parcels are sent using fully tracked services. Your dispatch email will include a Royal Mail tracking number and link so you can follow your delivery in real time.
5. Shipping Zones
Yarn by Clarke uses Royal Mail’s standard international shipping zones:
- UK
- Europe Zones 1–3
- World Zones 1–3
Your zone and shipping cost are calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery address. For reference, you can download the official Royal Mail Zone Map.
6. Shipping Charges
UK delivery is charged at a flat rate of £3.45 regardless of order size. From time to time, free shipping promotions may apply — check the site banner or checkout summary for eligibility.
International delivery rates vary by zone and quantity, and match Royal Mail's published rates. No handling or markup is added. Your shipping total will appear at checkout before payment.
Our international shipping is fully transparent and based directly on the total weight of your order — including a small allowance for packaging. This ensures accurate pricing in line with Royal Mail’s published rates while covering the true weight of yarn plus mailing materials.
7. Import Duties and Taxes
For orders outside the UK, import taxes, duties and courier handling fees may apply and are payable by the recipient. These are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout.
If charges apply, your postal service or courier will contact you directly before delivery. This system is known as Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).
8. Lost or Delayed Parcels
If your order is significantly delayed or does not arrive, please contact us at info@yarnbyclarke.com. We will investigate and ensure that you are refunded or re-shipped promptly where appropriate.
9. Returns Due to Address Issues
If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, we will contact you to confirm how you’d like to proceed. We can re-send the parcel (subject to re-shipping charges) or issue a refund minus original postage.
